Region: ACP region | Client: European Commission

Working with EURECNA, a company based in Venice, Italy.
RRD is providing Technical Assistance. The TA is to support INTPA Headquarters (HQ) in Brussels in its strategic approach to Africa-EU relations in particularly by providing swift technical assistance in the form of reliable and comprehensive policy material specifically tailored for the need of DG INTPA, Unit A1. This is to take into account EU political interests towards Africa as well as relevant existing legally binding agreements, political declarations and strategical documents. The area of expertise requested is TVET among other areas.

Country: Malawi | Client: European Delegation to Malawi

Worked with Integration, a company with its base in Germany.
RRD acts a team leader in the End-Term Evaluation of the Malawi Vocational Education and Training (TEVET) programme and formulation of the Terms of Reference for a follow-up programme. RRD was engaged in document study, interviews, site visits, and report writing.

Country: Egypt | Client: EUD Egypt

Worked with AESA, a company based in Brussels, Belgium.
Mid-Term Evaluation of the EU funded programme Support to the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Reform Programme in Egypt TVET II. RRD was involved in the evaluation of this project directed at the TVET reform program of the country and engaged in document study, interviews, site visits, survey, and report writing.

Country: Malawi | Client: EUD Malawi

Worked with Gita Poyck, Edburgh Consultants.
The project concerned the Mid-Term Evaluation of the Malawi TEVET programme (STEP) and identification and formulation of follow-up programme. This project was directed at the Vocational Educational Training sector of the country The project dealt with infrastructure and construction related trades, predominantly.

Country: Indonesia | Client: EUD Jakarta

RRD acted as education specialist in the end-of-project evaluation of three programs directed at the education sector of Indonesia using both budget support as well as project implementation modalities.

Country: Kosovo | Client: Luxemburg Development Agency

RRD was engaged with the formulation of a project in support of Vocational Education and Training Reform in Kosovo. RRD formulated a program following Luxemburg standards in doing so. Was involved in doing interviews, site visits and producing the formulation report.

Country: South East Asia | Client: European Delegations in the region
Worked with Landell-Mills, a company with its base in the UK and ECORYS, Holland.

Conducted Result Oriented Monitoring Missions evaluating various education related projects in the region. Several evaluations have taken place: in Thailand involving refugees currently in the country, Indonesia and Pakistan.

Country: Bangladesh | Client: European Delegation to Bangladesh
Worked with AESA, a company based in Belgium.

Involved as team leader and education expert in the formulation of a budget support operation benefitting the education and TVET sector of Bangladesh in the Formulation Mission Skills 21 project in Bangladesh. Involved in doing interviews and preparing the final reporting detailing the path towards implementation of the budget support program.

Worked with GFA, a company based with its base in Germany.

It concerned the final evaluation of the education reform program and the involvement of the company as TVET and evaluation expert in the evaluation of this reform program as financed by the EU and executed by the International Labor Organisation. Involved in doing interviews and preparing the final reporting detailing the results of the evaluation.

Country: Bangladesh | Client: Asian Development Bank
Worked with Maxwell Stamp Ltd. a company based in Bangladesh.

Is involved as team leader in undertaking a comparative analysis of the four Bangladesh Secondary Education Stipend projects/programs currently in existence in a review of Bangladesh Stipend Programs. The study is to provide a formulation of single comparative study with design, economic analysis, and implementation recommendations for a single harmonized stipend program.

Worked with Integration, a company based in Germany.

It concerned the Afghanistan Second Skill Development project and involved the development of business plans for 30 TVET institutes in Afghanistan. Conducted TNAs, SWOT assessments of the institutes as well as Capacity Development for the institutes as well as development of M&E systems to monitor performance of the institutes as well as financial management of the grants

Country: Ethiopia | Client: World Bank
Worked with Transtec, a company based in Belgium.

The Women Entrepreneurship Development Project / Skills Development Program entailed the support of the government of Ethiopia in expanding the private sector and boosting the expansion of the sector most notably boosting those of SMEs owned or partly owned by female entrepreneurs. RRD was involved in conducting a Training Needs Assessments among the target group and research and advice on the organization of TVET structures in the country as to how to best deliver training to this target group.

Worked with SAFEGE, a company based in Belgium.

The assessment implementation Budget Support Aruba involved the assessment of budget support for the Education Sector in Aruba within the context of a larger Public Finance Management evaluation conducted in Aruba. RRD was involved in interviewing stakeholders and writing progress reports.

Country: South Africa | Client: EUD South Africa
Worked with IBF, a company based in Belgium.

The interim evaluation of Erasmus Mundus was concerned with the evaluation of the Erasmus Mundus programme action 2 as it was implemented in South Africa. The company conducted a survey, literature study and the reporting on the project. Recommendations involved joint degrees and Curriculum Development and financial management.

Country: Bhutan | Client: Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Worked with a company called AGEG, based in Germany.

The Austrian Government, together with the Government of Bhutan, is financing a Technical Assistance (TA) in order to establish a high quality training facility in Bhutan. This in order to significantly boost the quality of the Bhutanese tourism and hospitality sector. RRD, together with the German consultancy firm AGEG, has conducted a mid-term review - by order of the Austrian Government- to determine, the relevance, effectiveness, impact and sustainability of the facility.

Country: Africa, Caribbean, Pacific (ACP) | Client: European Commission
Worked with ECORYS, Holland.

The ACP Academic Mobility Scheme concerned as feasibility & formulation study into the feasibility of an Academic Mobility Scheme in the region. The company conducted a literature review, interviews and consultation to identify and formulate this programme. It was investigated in what way revisiting the EU experience in managing student mobility can be of help in expanding and improving the existing Nyerere Scheme and other schemes.

Worked with TRANSTEC, a company based in Belgium.

The Liberian TVET (YES) project involved in the formulation and implementation of a comprehensive TVET and M&E system in the country. The company provided training to personnel that would be responsible for the implementation of the M&E system for the TVET system.

Country: Afghanistan | Client: Government of Norway
Worked with ECORYS, Holland.

RRD was involved in the evaluation of Norwegian assistance to Afghanistan. Interviews were conducted with stakeholders on location in Afghanistan and reporting was done on the findings.

Country: Bangladesh | Client: Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Worked with ECORYS, Holland.

RRD conducted the Final Evaluation of the Dutch NFP program in Bangladesh. Subject of the evaluation was the Dutch Fellowship Program in Bangladesh. A country study of Bangladesh within the context of this Evaluation has been conducted. Interviews were held with important stakeholders, a literature study and the findings were reported on.

The Capacity building project for Malawian Non-State Actors (NSAs) entailed the development and validation of a course and subsequently training of relevant personnel of Malawian Non State Actors to strengthen them in the identification, development, management and financing of their education related programmes.

Worked with SAFEGE, a company based in Belgium.

The project involved the Technical Assistance to the Auditor General of South Africa. Its purpose was to designed auditing tools / questionnaires for the Auditor General to be able for them to audit a number of key initiatives in the Education Sector of South Africa.

Worked with ECORYS, Holland.

The company has been involved in the Evaluation of Cooperation Programmes between the European Union and the United States and between the European Union and Canada. The aim was to identify best practices that have come about as a result of these programs. Conducted interviews and reported on the findings. Recommendations involved joint degree programs and increase of student and teacher mobility.

Worked with ECORYS, Holland.

Within the context of the Evaluation of five TVET projects in India results were assessed as achieved by a selected number of TVET activities supported by ICCO, Edukans and Word and Deed and executed by their partner organizations. A judgement was given on the various strategies used by the partner organizations of ICCO, Edukans and Word and Deed in the implementation of the TVET activities. Involved in site visits, interviews and reporting on the findings.

The company was involved in Final Evaluation the EU Life Long Learning Programs: Leonardo Program and Socrates Program Second Phase and has conducted literature reviews, interviews and reported on the findings.

Within the context of the Impact Assessment of the Erasmus Mundus Program. The company has resolved a number of standard questions around new proposals for the program. Conducted a survey of relevant documentation and in-depth interviews with relevant stakeholders throughout the world.

The project concerned the End of Project Evaluation of the Vietnamese Government Interpreters Training Program. The company reviewed the progress made during the Program and assessed the extent to which the Program had achieved its objectives. Reviewed the efficiency, effectiveness and sustainability of supported actions as well as their relevance with respect to the Program's main objectives and made recommendations. Conducted interviews and reported on the findings.

The company was involved in the evaluation of the Asia Link Programme 2006. RRD reviewed the progress made during the programme and assessed the extent to which the programme had achieved its objectives. Conducted interviews and reported on the findings.
